Are you looking for your life to be different somehow, but you aren’t sure exactly what that looks like, let alone how to make it happen? Natalie enjoys helping you identify your most pressing issues, then helping you identify solutions that you believe will work and supports you while you start to implement changes. You are the most likely person to be able to identify your best solutions, and perhaps all you need is encouragement and acceptance to get started.

Natalie works from a background of existential theory, which is the idea that our human experiences are shared and we are all looking for meaning, purpose, satisfying relationships, and personal freedom.  Natalie blends cognitive behavioral theory (CBT), motivational interviewing, radical acceptance, and humor into her therapy techniques. She aims to be easy to talk to, an excellent and attentive listener, and always supportive. She recommends helpful assignments in between therapy sessions to help you practice new skills and learn hidden aspects about yourself. Natalie helps people who have been codependent on others to become empowered to love fully and allow themselves to be loved back. She can help you learn specific techniques to lessen the symptoms of your anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, and intrusive thoughts. She believes therapy is about helping you look at yourself honestly, building up the things you love about yourself, and helping you improve the things you wish were different.

Counseling is Natalie’s second career (the first was medical transcription). She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2012, and with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016 (also from Indiana Wesleyan). She watches way too many crime dramas and enjoys traveling to visit her adult children and grandchildren.
