Billing and Insurance

Payment of fees is an important part of our work together. It is vital to maintain accurate phone and mailing contact information with our office.

Payment is expected at the time services are rendered, unless prior arrangements have been made. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards for payment. Should you have a balance due, a monthly account statement will be sent.

If you have a health insurance plan, your insurance company may reimburse your visits. It is your responsibility to obtain insurance pre-authorization for all office visits if required.

Our office will file most insurance claims for you; deductibles, co-pays, or co-insurance will be collected when services are rendered. Please note for insurance purposes only, Hendricks Therapy formerly operated as Hendricks County Psychotherapy.

Many of our therapists are contracted, in-network providers with the insurance carriers listed below (this may not be a complete list). Not all providers may be in all networks listed.

Important Note

Mental Health benefits in the majority of insurance plans are separate and different than traditional medical coverage. In addition, it is not uncommon for another company to serve as a contractor for your mental health benefits. THIS INFORMATION MAY NOT BE PROVIDED ON YOUR INSURANCE CARD. Please contact your insurance company to assure your intended provider is indeed in your network.

Below is a list of suggested questions for your insurance carrier:

Do I have mental health benefits?

What is the name of the Mental Health Network carrier?

How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?

How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?

What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

Is a referral required from my primary care physician?
